Chelsea defeat Villa

While happy for the win, I didn't think the victory was as exciting and decisive for CFC as others have reviewed the match. Chelsea were dominant in the first part of the game and ran into the same issue we've had for years- breaking down a defensive side in their final third. Kante was great this match though, happy to see him back in his prime role- disrupting and regaining possession. I know this was the first match back and everything but Villa aren't exactly a strong side and they did give Chelsea moments of nerves. Anyway, great to see the victory and Giroud getting on the score sheet. And RLC playing!
